Difficult Negative Hong Kong

My interview sequence sounded straightforward at first, but the number of rounds and the depth made it heavy. It took around 3 to 5 interview rounds, each with different people. The questions drilled into switching and routing details, and they felt deep enough that I wasn’t just recalling facts—I was expected to reason through the problems.

What was surprising was the lack of follow-through at the end. Even after going through the work and the technical evaluation, it turned out they didn’t have budget to employ qualified candidates. That made the whole experience feel difficult in a different way than the questions themselves.

Average Positive Ireland

My process leaned heavily into networking fundamentals and system design thinking. It started with an online assessment focused on networking and troubleshooting. After that, I had a phone screen where the topics shifted to TCP/IP basics, then routing and switching, plus DNS.

Then the interview loop stretched across multiple rounds—about 4 to 5—with deep dives on Amazon’s Leadership Principles. The technical emphasis continued with real-world network design and failure scenarios, and there was also a separate bar raiser-style round. By the end, the final hiring decision felt like a culmination of both the leadership story and the technical judgment under failure conditions.
