What is a Financial Analyst at Alter Domus?
At Alter Domus, a Financial Analyst operates at the center of the alternative investment universe, primarily executing critical duties as a Fund Accountant or Senior Fund Accountant across specialized business lines, including Private Equity (PE), Real Estate (RE), Credit Funds, and Tax. As a global leader handling over 90% of the top 30 asset managers in private markets, Alter Domus relies on these professionals to maintain the operational integrity, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance of billions of dollars in assets under administration.
Rather than performing generic corporate FP&A, a Financial Analyst in this space is responsible for the end-to-end administration of complex fund structures. You will translate sophisticated transaction data into precise financial statements, calculate Net Asset Values (NAV), coordinate capital calls and distributions, and manage critical relationships with institutional clients and external auditors. The role requires a high degree of technical accounting acumen, deep familiarity with governing legal agreements, and a strong understanding of private market investment vehicles.
This position is highly collaborative and client-facing. You will act as a trusted advisor to asset managers, ensuring that daily cash reconciliations, quarterly financial reporting, and complex tax workpapers are executed with absolute precision. Whether you are analyzing property-level variances in a real estate fund, calculating waterfalls for a private equity client, or navigating foreign withholding tax requirements, your work directly impacts Alter Domus's reputation as a premium, high-touch partner in the alternative investment industry.
