After the initial online work, my process turned into three interview rounds that all felt fairly technical, ending with an HR conversation. The interviewers kept circling around my technical stack knowledge, how I’d approach problem solving, and how I talked through my thinking while discussing past projects. The last conversations also felt like they were checking whether I could communicate clearly and fit the way the team worked day to day.
I remember moving into the first technical discussion with a mix of hands-on questions and a request to walk through how I’d handle problems. The second technical round leaned more on my experience and what I’d done before, and by the time I hit the final HR step, it was mostly broad prompts about me rather than anything especially unique. Overall, the style was straightforward: explain what you did, justify your approach, and be clear about your thought process. The difficulty felt moderate, not a trick interview.

My recruiter call was quick and the process moved fast after that. Within a couple of days I was scheduled to meet the hiring manager, and not long after that they informed me they weren’t moving forward. Even though it was a rejection, I appreciated how direct the communication was, because at least I wasn’t left waiting.
The other time was also a short path, but it felt different. The hiring manager interview was about fifty minutes on Teams, and it mostly played like the interviewer talking at me rather than prompting real back-and-forth. Most of the call didn’t dig into my actual aligned experience, and I left feeling like I hadn’t really been evaluated in a meaningful way. A few days later I received a rejection email with no deeper feedback.
