My process started with a quick introductory conversation where the main focus was my CV. When I met the hiring manager, the discussion was straightforward and lasted about 20 minutes—mostly reviewing my background and asking for my perspective based on what I’d written.
After that, I had a separate conversation that felt more like a motivation and intent check. I was asked questions to get a sense of who I was, why I wanted the position, and how serious I was about it. The recruiter was very available for questions and clarifications, and the tone stayed open and friendly.

Difficult Negative United Kingdom
After submitting my CV online, I went through a CV screening stage and then got invited to an introductory video call. The call mixed technical and personal questions, and the recruiter’s communication mainly happened through the platform and messaging like WhatsApp/email. I remember getting status updates only indirectly, and even though I kept checking the recruiting portal, I didn’t receive direct follow-ups.
Overall the experience felt difficult mainly because the questions spanned both the role’s technical side and more personal fit, and the uncertainty around timing made it stressful. The process didn’t feel tightly managed, so I had to rely on the platform’s status instead of clear messages. By the end, I didn’t get an offer, and the lack of direct communication stuck with me.
