I ran into the screening part mainly through online assessments. One of them was a HackerRank math test with strict timing—lots of mental math questions in a short window, plus an additional set focused on sequences. After finishing that, I moved to a recorded video assessment where I had to answer within a set time budget and explain my approach.
The math work was clearly designed to test speed as much as correctness, and the video format forced me to articulate my reasoning rather than just compute. Even though I could follow the question types, the time pressure made it feel more stressful than a typical practice session.

Average Neutral Sydney
Before any interview rounds, I went through a mini-lecture series that covered trading and options basics. Each lecture had an online quiz tied to it, and the top performers from those quizzes were selected for the interview round. They didn’t spell out exactly how they picked the cutoff, but it was clear the quizzes mattered.
Once I got to the assessment part, the interview itself leaned into trading-style thinking. The math portion depended a lot on speed, and I also remember how market-maker knowledge came up as a helpful context. The questions weren’t just abstract probabilities—they felt tied to how trading games or simulations work.
