I ran into their recorded interview format pretty early, and it shaped the whole tone of the process. After an initial coding screen, I did a one-way interview where they recorded everything I did and essentially expected a clear thought process, because that video would be reviewed later. That made me noticeably more careful about how I explained each step.

The follow-up assessments leaned heavily into probability and math. I faced a recorded math/probability question set and didn’t get enough correct to pass, which was disappointing partly because I felt like I had solved a couple questions properly. Another time, after an OA, I got a probability question plus a coding task using a whiteboard-style interaction where the interviewer gave hints when I hit minor errors, and the follow-ups were all about probability reasoning.

What to expect

Distilled from the reports

Interview Structure & Timeline

The interview process typically begins with an online coding assessment followed by a series of technical rounds that may include recorded interviews and phone screenings. Candidates should expect a structured approach with a clear progression through various technical evaluations.

Technical & Coding Assessments

Candidates will face multiple technical rounds focused on coding, math, and probability, often under strict time constraints. Expect a mix of algorithmic problems, data handling tasks, and mathematical reasoning that requires clear communication of thought processes.

Behavioral & Cultural Fit

While the technical evaluation is rigorous, candidates also report friendly and supportive interactions with interviewers, which contributes positively to the overall experience. However, the focus remains heavily on technical skills rather than cultural fit.

Communication & Explanation Skills

Candidates are expected to articulate their reasoning clearly during assessments, especially in recorded formats where explanation is as important as correctness. This emphasis on communication can add pressure during technical evaluations.

Feedback & Follow-Up

Candidates often experience delays in receiving feedback after interviews, which can lead to feelings of uncertainty about their performance. The feedback process may feel unprofessional or unclear, even when the interview itself is structured well.

Difficulty & Expectations

The overall difficulty of the interview process is high, with a clear expectation for candidates to demonstrate both technical proficiency and the ability to perform under pressure. Many candidates feel that small mistakes can significantly impact their chances of success.
