The interview started with a brief self-introduction and then moved into an applied coding question around a todo list. While I worked through it, the conversation stayed interactive—I had chances to ask questions and the interviewer was pretty chill.

It felt like the technical portion wasn’t meant to be adversarial. There were moments where I got guidance and discussion instead of just being left to struggle alone. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the overall vibe of the session stayed relaxed compared to more intense coding screens.

The process started on a high note. I had an initial recruiter call that lasted about half an hour, and the recruiter came across as super supportive and responsive, really trying to help me through the whole sequence.

About a week later, I had a 1.5-hour project-and-behavior interview with an engineering manager and a lead engineer. That included a take-home coding exercise where I had to build a simple application, then I followed up with a 1.5-hour panel interview with two senior members to walk through how I approached the coding. The final stage was also about an hour, with an Engineering Director and a senior engineer, and the director drove most of the questions—project deep dive, architecture questions, and some brain-teasing prompts at the end.
