My process started with a pretty casual HR phone screen. I talked through my basic background and experience, salary expectations, and my availability for interviews over Zoom/Teams. We also covered whether I’d be happy working from the office or preferred something hybrid, and it felt like they were mostly confirming logistics and fit.

After that, I moved into an interview that leaned heavily behavioral. I met with team members, and the overall vibe was relaxed and personable. I didn’t get any technical questions—what stood out was how much they cared about cultural fit rather than testing technical depth. The later-stage conversations still had a similar feel: a straightforward introduction, basic questions about my experience, and then more role-specific questions once we got into the interviews. By the end, it felt like the process was trying to assess whether I’d gel with the team more than whether I could prove everything academically.
