My Agoda process started with an online assessment that mixed multiple-choice questions with DSA problems. It felt like a moderately difficult OA overall—challenging, but not chaotic—and I was able to solve most of what was given.

I remember the OA taking on a “try to cover everything” vibe, because the question set wasn’t just one type of problem. After solving all the problems in my run, I still didn’t move forward, which was honestly pretty frustrating. What stood out most was how close the work felt while still resulting in rejection; the assessment didn’t feel impossible, but the outcome made it clear they were looking for something more than just completing questions.

For the Senior Software Engineer (backend SSE) track, the process was only two technical rounds. The first round was DSA with two questions, aimed at fundamentals at an easy-to-medium level. The second round moved into a more implementation-focused LLD vibe—improving an already existing system and doing a code review.

I remember the recruiter messaging that the backend platform round could blend elements of system design and low-level design, so I was expecting a mix, but the actual second stage felt clearly centered on revisiting a system and making targeted changes, plus discussing a code review scenario.
