After an initial HR step, I moved into a conversation with a professor. The questions were pretty standard and centered on me—my background, my previous experience, and how my MPH work connected to the role. I also talked through my most recent research, including my capstone project and the research assistant work I’d done before.
The next professor-focused round felt fair and much more focused on technical direction than personality. I remember most questions drilling into my doctoral research and how it fit within the institution’s broader research agenda. I’d anticipated a lot of what would come up, and overall I felt like I could explain my work clearly without getting thrown off.
