After applying through the portal for an MTS 2 backend Java role, I got a callback and ended up with a single interview round. The whole session felt like a tight technical sweep across the fundamentals I had highlighted on my resume. I was asked to solve classic DSA-style problems, including merging overlapping intervals and a deep dive into an LFU cache concept. I also got pulled into object-oriented programming topics—covering the main pillars of OOP and general OOP concepts.
The format matched what I expected for an early technical stage: focus on how I reason through problems and how clearly I can explain design fundamentals alongside coding. I felt like I was prepared for the mix of DSA and OOP, but the round ultimately didn’t lead to an offer and I was rejected.

I interviewed for the MTS 2 role and the journey ended up being four rounds total. The first two rounds were technical, and they bounced between my work experience, design-style questions, and DSA. I kept feeling like they were trying to connect what I’d done before to how I’d think through problems, rather than treating it as purely theoretical.
After that, I moved into a manager round. That part leaned mostly on my work experience, with follow-ups that still felt grounded in how I’d approach day-to-day problems. By the end of the manager discussion, it was clear they wanted a coherent story—how I worked, what I’d owned, and how I’d handle the kinds of scenarios we talked about.
