After a recruiter call, the process moved into a technical MCQ test that lasted about an hour. I remember the questions feeling tough and very evaluation-heavy, like they wanted a precise answer rather than discussion. Shortly after, I had a virtual technical round where the questions were described as easier, and then I went into a more in-person style technical interview where I was asked hard questions tied back to my own project.
The pattern continued with another technical interview and then additional discussions that felt more like verification than collaboration. In the delivery/manager-style round, I got asked very specific things about web/API behavior, including the difference between HTTP PUT and PATCH, and I ended up feeling judged the whole time. When I answered, the skepticism was immediate—someone sitting nearby challenged whether I was copying—so I was trying to focus while the tone stayed tense. Eventually that round turned into a long back-and-forth of basic technical Q&A, and I was even asked to share my screen and write code live.

Average Negative Pune
I went through five rounds—L1, L2, a client round, a delivery head round, and then HR. Even though I kept passing each stage, the vibe never really shifted to “yes, we’re confident.” During discussions, interviewers gave me negative feedback as we went, which made the whole process feel like it was looking for a reason to doubt me.
The delivery head round was the strangiest. I was asked questions that felt unexpectedly basic for that stage, like the difference between HTTP PUT and PATCH. When I answered, someone next to the delivery head challenged me as if I might have been copying. It also didn’t help that there was a network issue on their side, but it got blamed on me. The conversation dragged on for about an hour with trivial technical Q&A, and it ended with a surprising request to meet again in the office and repeat the round.
