My interview journey started smoothly scheduling-wise, but the content and pacing made it feel intense. After early technical conversations, I was pulled into a deep technical track that tested a lot of infrastructure topics: cloud security and networking basics, Kubernetes concepts, Docker and YAML scripting, plus infrastructure-as-code ideas with Terraform. I even had to draw diagrams describing Kubernetes architecture, and later I wrote out the skeletal structure of a YAML pipeline for Azure DevOps, including a Dockerfile with multistage builds. After the technical round, there was feedback and then HR came in and discussed whether I’d be able to join in a junior capacity, which shifted the role being considered.

Even though the technical part was already demanding, what really changed my perception was how chaotic and broad things became in a different stage of the process. I remember being placed in a room with people from multiple technical areas and getting a long, rapid-fire question set that felt disconnected from the earlier client discussion. The range of perspectives—from architecture to data-related engineering—made it feel like a sudden, much harder test.
