I interviewed for a Senior Software Engineer role at 6sense in Bengaluru, and the process ended very quickly after the first technical round. The entire opening round centered on a weighted random picking style problem—essentially choosing items based on their weights.

I wasn’t able to land on the approach the interviewer expected. I remember feeling like I was missing the key idea, and I couldn’t confidently propose the binary-search-style direction that would connect the weights to the selection. After that first round, I didn’t move forward.

Average Negative Bengaluru

My technical process at 6sense started off really well. The rounds with two coding interviews and two system design interviews were structured, fair, and genuinely engaging, and it felt like the interviewers cared about technical depth and problem-solving.

But the last round was a behavioral discussion with senior management, and that’s where the experience flipped. The questions felt vague, the conversation didn’t flow like a real two-way interview, and it felt more like I was being talked at than evaluated. The way coding was dismissed as “easy,” combined with repeated pushes toward personal philosophies, came across to me as arrogance rather than leadership.
