My experience started with recruiter communication that sounded promising, but it ended in the kind of uncertainty that stayed with me. After a very positive hiring-manager conversation, I was scheduled for a presentation/roleplay just a couple days later, and I spent those next two days preparing to exceed expectations.
Then, about an hour before the interview time, I received an email saying they’d found someone else and canceled the session. It felt incredibly disrespectful because they’d told me they couldn’t move earlier and had emphasized wanting me to get assessed fairly. I was never given that chance.

I interviewed for an Account Manager role, and the case-study portion showed up toward the end. I didn’t get past that stage, but the feedback I received was reasonable and came with clear explanations.
Afterward, there was a push to re-apply for business development since many Account Managers start there. That’s when the tone shifted for me: the call with the head of sales felt off, like I was being interrogated about whether I truly wanted the role instead of being evaluated on my capabilities. The questions were intensely suspicious in a way that left me uncomfortable—more about my intentions than my fit.
