Seattle, WAPosted Oct 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

This was a difficult interview mainly because of how it was run.

I worked through questions and ended up with an optimal solution, but I still got rejected. I was told the decision wasn’t about whether I could solve the problem—it was framed as a mismatch for the role based on personality or team-fit concerns.

The part that bothered me was that I felt like the technical evaluation was essentially overridden by a subjective fit assessment. Even though I’d delivered the result they were looking for, it still didn’t translate into an offer.
