Zocdoc Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

United StatesPosted Oct 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I got introduced to the process at a tech recruitment event, where they gave me two technical questions right on the spot.

Both focused on core computer science topics—algorithms and data structures—and they kept it short, giving me about ten minutes for both questions.

The format was fast and high pressure because there wasn’t any time for a long setup or detailed back-and-forth. I left with the clear impression that they were testing how quickly I could get to a correct approach and communicate my reasoning under the clock. I didn’t move forward from there, and honestly the whole experience felt like a snapshot test of fundamentals rather than a full interview loop.
