I interviewed for a remote position and the process emphasized that it was 100% remote multiple times.

The structure felt tightly timed overall: I had a recruiter screening of about 30 minutes, then a hiring manager call, then a take-home technical exam that was about two hours. After that there was feedback on the exam, then a prep call with the recruiter, then a grueling onsite block of about five hours, and finally a rejection call.

The onsite was the most draining part—some interviewers seemed uninterested, and after hours of technical discussion and exams over the span of about two weeks, they did a bait-and-switch. The rejection explanation was that they didn’t believe I’d be a good fit
