My process started as a phone call for a contract position, and then it turned into a perm opportunity a few months later.

The thing that really stuck with me was how strict they were about background checks, so much so that it felt like I wouldn’t have applied at all if there had been anything serious to flag.

Interviewing itself had a particular rhythm: I was brought in with several people who each spoke with me one at a time. After those separate conversations, the interviewers reconvened to discuss what they’d heard. Some of the interviewers didn’t seem very prepared, but my direct supervisor was the one who put real thought into the questions and pushed the conversation more meaningfully.
