I got far enough to complete a technical screening and an intro call with a tech lead.

The interviewer felt cool and friendly, and the conversation itself didn’t feel hostile.

What I didn’t get was any closure. After the screening, I was essentially ghosted, and I never received a clear rejection. Even with how competitive the market is, the lack of an explicit rejection felt avoidable, and it left a bad aftertaste because I couldn’t tell what had happened.

I didn’t receive an offer. The interview experience was pleasant in the moment, but the silence afterward made it frustrating.
