I started with what felt like a normal recruiter step, but I immediately hit a major trust problem before the interview even happened.

I wasn’t told that the interview would be recorded and transcribed using a third-party AI tool, and only a few days before the interview I received an email from that AI company that landed in my spam folder.

I checked with the recruiter and decided not to proceed after declining the email and taking it seriously. Since it was a market research-style company, I didn’t feel comfortable with how my personal data might be used without clear upfront communication. I didn’t continue past that point, and honestly I don’t regret it—the process started on a note that didn’t feel transparent to me.
