Before I even got to the final stage, I was already anxious because I’d read a lot of negative reviews about the company’s process.

That made it harder to stay confident as I went through the multiple rounds leading up to the last interview.

The final step was going to involve role playing and talking with the hiring manager, and I felt nervous because I’d heard so much that it wouldn’t be worth the effort. Even so, I showed up and went through it, but I didn’t get an offer. Looking back, the reviews didn’t match my expectations of a normal hiring flow, and it showed in how tense the experience felt going in.
