Yelp Account Executive interview experience

I had a phone screen that became unpleasant fast.

After I explained why I was looking at Yelp, the interviewer made an assumption that I wasn’t a good fit and abruptly ended the interview. It was framed around her belief that I wouldn’t be able to handle the work hours, even though the work hours were actually part of what led me to apply.

By the end, I was left feeling humiliated by how quickly the conversation shut down. I didn’t get selected, and the experience stood out as the most discouraging phone-screen moment I’d ever had.
