The interview was online with video, and it had a very specific format that felt heavy on judgment.

I was asked repeatedly what a sales rep did wrong in a scenario, using audio recordings of example sales calls. The same question—what went wrong—showed up about three times, which made it feel like they really wanted to see whether I could pick up the missed steps consistently.

Each time, the focus stayed on my understanding of how the work is supposed to be done, not just whether I had general sales knowledge. It was difficult and left me feeling evaluated at a granular level. I wasn’t offered the role.
