I went through a recruiter and manager-focused process where I didn’t have a formal technical round, but I was still rejected due to missing enterprise-client experience.

Recruiter-led process + team conversations — I was guided by a recruiter and met with the team manager and other team leads.
No technical round — Even though the role required coding knowledge, I didn’t have a coding-focused technical interview.
Final decision — I made it to the last round but didn’t get it because I lacked enterprise client experience. Outcome: No offer, and my takeaway was that domain experience can outweigh even having the right general engineering profile.
