My interview landed in the production engineering space, and it leaned much more toward operating systems concepts than toward coding.

The questions dug into things like paging, virtual memory, and thrashing, and the interviewer asked very hardware-specific details.

Because of that focus, there wasn’t any coding component at all. I mostly spent the time reasoning through OS behavior and how systems behave at runtime.

Overall, the experience felt average to me—specialized and somewhat narrow, but not especially hard in the way coding interviews can be. I didn’t receive an offer, and that specific OS-and-hardware emphasis was probably the biggest differentiator in what I experienced.
