The second step was an hour-long Teams call that included the head of department and the manager of the team.

The process lasted about two weeks end to end, which felt organized and quick enough that I wasn’t stuck waiting for months. The conversations were straightforward in structure: HR first to align on me and my background, and then a deeper discussion with leadership about the role and how I would fit with the team.

I ended up receiving an offer. My reflection was that the speed helped me stay engaged, and the shift from HR to the department leaders made the process feel more real
