WorldQuant Quantitative Analyst interview experience

No offer

United StatesPosted Feb 2013 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied through a recruiter and went through a phone interview, but the interaction didn’t feel particularly engaged.

The interviewer didn’t seem to take much interest in what I said and frequently looked away, which made the whole call feel oddly detached.

At the end, I asked what his best stock call was, and the response I got was that every single one of his stock calls was great. After that kind of exchange, it was clear the process wasn’t going anywhere constructive for me, and I didn’t end up getting an offer.
