My initial interview started with the recruiter, and it included an in-person push that caught me off guard.

I was asked to come into the office for three days even though none of the other team members were in that same office location.

I questioned how that would actually help collaboration, and the recruiter’s demeanor felt annoyed during the interaction. What really bothered me was what happened after—she never reached out afterward.

Even though the round itself happened, the lack of follow-up and the way the in-office request was handled made the experience feel off from the start. I didn’t end up getting an offer.
