I interviewed for a Software Engineer/front-end-focused role and found the process difficult because of a targeted JavaScript test with common “trap” areas.

Phone screen — an initial call followed by an in-person (or live) test focus.
Assessment: JavaScript test — questions and pitfalls around async/await and promises, manipulation of common JavaScript objects, and some rigid CSS understanding.
Technical evaluation — the format emphasized practical JavaScript knowledge and where candidates commonly get tripped up. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and the takeaway was to over-prepare on async behavior, object handling, and CSS basics even if the role feels front-end.
