My first step was a very short phone interview—barely fifteen minutes.

After that, I was brought in right away, so the early stage felt quick and compressed. I gave a short presentation on-site, and then the rest of the time moved into one-on-one interviews with a large group of people.

What made the onsite feel intense was how detailed the individual interviews were, down to very specific practical knowledge like tool model numbers and even the size of screws. Lunch was also the worst part for me: people bombarded me with questions from multiple sides while keeping up this stream of inside jokes, which didn’t feel professional or welcoming.
