My early interview journey started with an online coding assessment that mixed SQL, data structures/algorithms, and something involving calling a REST API endpoint.

After that, I moved into a video interview and then an assessment-center style step.

Once I reached the OA portion, it matched the same theme: a manageable set of easy-to-medium coding questions alongside SQL and a RESTful API question. What I appreciated was that the questions were still connected to the kind of work where APIs and databases show up day to day, not just abstract algorithm puzzles.

From there, the process shifted toward cultural and values-style questions, where I got asked things like why Wise and to explain a situation where I made a mistake and how I corrected it.
