My interview started with a vibe that just felt off.

Instead of focusing on sales and the actual mechanics of the job, it played more like a history exam about the company. The questions didn’t give me much opportunity to show how I’d work in a sales role day to day.

I remember walking away dissatisfied because I wanted more real sales discussion and fewer odd, indirect prompts. The overall atmosphere didn’t match the type of management and leadership I was looking for either.

I never moved to an offer. The bigger takeaway for me was that the process didn’t translate into the role I thought I was interviewing for.
