My early process started with a one-way Hireflix-style interview that felt largely automated.

I recorded myself answering six prompts that were mostly basic behavioral questions. The setup was the kind where you can’t really read the interviewer’s reactions, and I didn’t like that part.

After the one-way segment, there was a pause before I moved forward. Then I had a technical interview that included two LeetCode-style medium problems. That part felt more meaningful than the video screen, but the overall arc still wasn’t great for me: the process went from prerecorded behavioral questions into coding, and by the time everything settled, I wasn’t selected.
