I did a virtual coding interview where the format was very hands-on: I had to code while the interviewer watched in real time.

I was allowed to choose my own programming language, which made the round feel more flexible than it could have been.

They asked me to work through two questions, and I managed to get through both during the session. The overall vibe was direct and execution-focused, with the interviewer observing as I built the solutions.

I didn’t end up getting an offer, but I felt comfortable moving through the two problems since I wasn’t being asked to just talk theory. The real-time setup was the biggest feature of the process I noticed.
