Whatnot Software Engineer interview experience

Because it was framed as a new-grad style role, the coding portion was more about baseline data structures and algorithms than anything overly complex. I was asked a basic DSA question, and the overall feel was that the bar matched the position.

The recruiter experience was good overall, too, and I left with the sense that the role expectations were clear enough that I wasn’t guessing what kind of problems would show up.

I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the process itself felt positive and straightforward, and I didn’t feel blindsided by the format.
