Whatnot Software Engineer interview experience

It included six questions, and the timing was strict: about 30 seconds to think before each response, and roughly one minute to answer.

There wasn’t much flexibility in how I could pace myself because the questions came in quickly and the format forced quick, structured responses. It was also the kind of setup where you could easily feel like you were just feeding answers into a system rather than being evaluated in a conversation.

I did move forward and ultimately received an offer. That was honestly the surprising part, because the format felt so rigid and impersonal while I was doing it.
