After submitting my resume, I moved quickly into a recruiter phone screen.

It felt pretty straightforward: the call was about initial fit and an overview, and it was clear this was mainly a first filter before anything deeper with a hiring manager.

Even though I had time to expect the process to continue, it didn’t. I never got past that initial recruitment screen, and I ended the process feeling like the conversation hadn’t gone far enough to reflect my actual technical background or role fit.
