Saint Louis, MOPosted Mar 2011 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

When I applied and interviewed for multiple jobs at Wash U, what stuck with me wasn’t the content of the interviews so much as the way the process ran.

I felt like they were slow to respond, with people rarely offering contact information. When I asked for a way to follow up, requests were shut down, and even when I managed to get contact details, responses sometimes never came.

The interview experiences themselves could be rough. I went on interviews where the interviewer came across as down-right mean and talked as if I was incompetent. It didn’t make sense to me why they would call me if they already seemed convinced I wasn’t capable, especially given how drawn out and inconsistent the communication felt.

I didn’t receive an offer.
