Walmart·Software Engineer

Walmart Software Engineer interview experience

Bentonville, ARCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

My first step with Walmart started with a round where I met a small panel of interviewers—four people in total—for a 30 to 45 minute session.

The goal was practical and focused on team fit, and there was also a coding question woven into the conversation rather than treating technical and behavioral as totally separate.

What made it feel different from a purely technical screen was that the coding question sat inside a broader check on how I approach problems in a group context. The time window was tight enough that I had to be concise, but it still left room for discussion.
