I went through a five-step interview process, and the overall vibe was exhausting enough that I felt it was way too stressful.

The part that annoyed me most was how the interaction worked: I wasn’t able to smoothly choose how I wanted to demo my approach, because they would sometimes randomly give me a procedure on the spot rather than letting me steer the walkthrough.

What made it harder wasn’t just the number of steps, but the sense that I was being forced to adapt without enough control. By the end, I felt burned out rather than challenged in a productive way, and I didn’t receive an offer.
