I interviewed for Software Engineer at Walmart Global Tech with a five-step, very guided process led by a people-tech recruiter/liaison, and it felt smooth but didn’t result in an offer.

Intro/overview with liaison — A position overview and getting to know each other.
Tech-stack focused round — Questions tied to the technical stack.
Online guided tech assessment — A supervised/assisted technical evaluation.
Conversation with engineering leadership — A leadership-level discussion.
Conversation with the manager — Final managerial conversation about fit and expectations. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the main takeaway was how structured and supportive the recruiter-led flow felt.
