Walmart Global Tech Software Engineer interview experience

MediumDallas, TXCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

Before my next step, I went through an initial screening that mixed behavioral questions with a deeper dive into interests—then it shifted into a technical portion focused on specific ML algorithms and data engineering concepts.

After that, I had a Zoom technical interview lined up.

The coding component was described as resume-based and aimed at coding skills, with medium LeetCode-style problems. What stood out most was the blend: the process didn’t treat ML as purely theoretical, and it paired that with algorithmic coding rather than leaving one side out. Overall, I felt like they were trying to confirm both my technical depth in ML/data topics and my ability to code cleanly under typical interview constraints.
