Voleon Backend Engineer interview experience

I didn’t do a phone screen directly with the company itself, and instead the process led straight into the onsite. They had me on-site for the whole day, and I remember the format clearly: a four-hour hands-on programming section first, then three separate interviews, each about roughly three-quarters of an hour. Those covered algorithms, low-level systems design, and high-level systems design, and they even provided lunch.

The part that felt most like a filter was that long practical section, because I was trying to keep my code clean and my thinking organized for an entire stretch.
