I got pulled into the process for a Tanzu Mission Control SRE role through internal scheduling.

The interview flow felt fairly short but very focused: a junior interviewer sat with me and came in having prepared a couple of Hackerrank questions.

The first prompt was the kind of problem where I knew what direction to go, but I couldn’t land the exact syntax during the live check. My approach would’ve worked in theory, but the interviewer pushed for full correctness and complete output. The second question barely gave me any time to really solve it, so I left that round feeling like I’d run out of room more than anything else.
