Visa Inc. Software Engineer interview experience

The interview itself leaned toward clear communication—how I explained my answers mattered as much as what I actually said.

The interviewer was friendly and the tone didn’t feel hostile, but the expectations were clear: be concise and make sure the logic lands. I walked away feeling like I did reasonably well on the substance, but I wasn’t confident I’d nailed the clarity piece well enough.

In the end, I didn’t get an offer. What I’d remember most was how much emphasis there was on speaking cleanly and structuring my thoughts, not just answering questions.
