Bellevue, WAPosted Sep 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through an onsite-style Visa journey where all rounds were technical-heavy, including at least one system-design-focused discussion plus additional algorithm and fundamentals questions.

Recruiter/phone screen — initial contact before the onsite.
Onsite round(s) — roughly three rounds around 60 minutes each; one was explicitly system-design focused.
Coding-focused onsite — LeetCode-style easy problems and discussions on how data structures work internally (for example, hashing) plus questions about Git and database design.
System design with hiring manager — a design discussion that sometimes also included a coding question. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and the takeaway is to be ready for system design and fundamentals even when coding problems
