I went through a fairly structured Visa process where the early emphasis was OA-style DSA, then a technical conversation mixing coding and core DBMS concepts over a couple of rounds.

Online assessment — four DSA problems; I was expected to show problem-solving and coding ability. Those who cleared were shortlisted to the next step.
Technical interview — a DSA-focused coding round to discuss my approach to the problems, followed by discussion of DBMS concepts and fundamentals. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, but the takeaway was that this journey rewards clear reasoning in both coding and core CS theory.
