My process felt reasonably unscripted, but it still covered the usual account executive beats.

I talked through my experience and customer base, and we also went into scenario-style questions—how I’d handle different situations rather than just reciting past roles.

One thing that added some uncertainty was that the company was in the middle of splitting from Symantec. It came through in how certain questions landed, especially around what the structure would look like going forward. The interview itself wasn’t chaotic, but I remember noticing that the answers couldn’t be fully certain yet, which made the overall tone a little less definitive than I expected.
