Verisk Software Engineer interview experience

My interview felt awkward from the start because it didn’t seem like the interviewers fully knew what they wanted or what they expected as an answer.

The two people I spoke with were nice, but the process itself was confusing.

Even though I was trying to respond directly, the conversation had that uncomfortable feeling of not being fully calibrated on their side. It wasn’t that the questions were impossible—it was more that the intent behind them felt unclear.

I didn’t get an offer. The experience left me thinking the interview setup wasn’t as organized as it should’ve been, even though the interviewers’ demeanor was polite.
